Volunteers needed for the Friendship Center Soup Kitchen

“Lord, when were you hungry and we fed you?”  Our church works at the soup kitchen the first Friday of each month. Volunteers are needed.

We have 4 teams, so during the year each team works only 3 Friday afternoons/evenings.  We begin at 3:00 p.m. (or later for some volunteers who can't get there at 3:00 ), we serve food at 5:30 and are finished at 6:00.  The kitchen serves about 40 people on our Fridays, and is located at St John's Episcopal Church in East Hartford.  If you would like to volunteer, please call Cheryl Hanley at 633-8742, or e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
